Cheeki is a fresh new Australian-owned brand that was launched with the aim of supplying safe, healthy and fun stainless steel bottles. As a result we hope to encourage a significantly reduced consumption of disposable plastic water bottles. Try leaving a full plastic bottle (re-used) and a full Cheeki bottle overnight and next morning take a sip from each – the difference in taste is incredible. Cheeki Lids are made from BPA-free non-leaching polypropylene. Environmental Concerns - Unless disposable plastic bottles are incinerated, they will be around in landfills, oceans and parks for hundreds of years. Fab Slabs is a family owned and operated business and all of our products are proudly 100% Australian made. All cutting boards are milled, kiln dried and manufactured on the Sunshine Coast. Both Paul and Ricky (Fab Slabs Owners) are very much hands on in the production of the cutting boards to maintain a high standard of quality. We care about the future of our planet. Fab Slabs has been involved in re-vegetation projects, planting and caring for 1000 native trees ourselves and we are a member of Land for Wildlife. Our timber is sourced in a number of ways. On the Sunshine Coast re-vegetation projects are taking place all the time. Camphor Laurel trees are removed so that native plants can be put in their place. Fab Slabs salvages the camphor laurel logs, then mills, dries and turns the timber into beautiful, solid timber slab cutting boards. We are good friends with a number of arborists. When a tree does have to be removed because of road clearing, storm damage or it is a danger to a house, Fab Slabs salvages the log rather than see it dumped, burnt or chipped. 100 % Australian Made and Owned
