That's why you'll find some of our labels say organic and others say chemical free. There is a difference ... and we're strict about it. So, if it doesn't have the Australian Certified Organic (ACO) logo, which ensures compliance with national production standards, we don't call it organic. We care about the environment enough to print our newsletters on 100% recycled paper. We also:
- Offer those customers, who don't bring their own cloth bags, the choice of a recycled box or bag in which to pack their purchases
- Often offer our cloth bags free with purchases over $50
- Give customers the choice of bringing their own containers in which to top up their bulk purchases
- Choose recyclable and environmentally friendly packaging for our Flannerys Own products.

In the past, being told you were gluten intolerant or had Coeliac disease was really bad news. Gluten appears in so many foods, it became a real challenge to find meals you could eat. Even worse, products made to be gluten free were pretty awful.
